The Friends of St Mary's is a voluntary organisation run by parents and carers of pupils at St Mary the Virgin Church of England VA Primary School in Gillingham, Dorset.

St Mary the Virgin School is a relatively new primary school that was opened in 2005 and has rapidly grown to nearly 200 pupils. It has already through the hard work of the teachers, parents and local community been designated as Excellent in the latest OFSTED report and we continue to work hard to provide the additional resource that is often needed.

The Friends of St Mary's was founded at the same time as the school with aims to provide fundraising support to the school and to help contribute funds and resource that are not covered by normal channels.

We have in a short space of time raised significant funds towards the school and we are always looking for the next best fundraising idea. We welcome all parents, carers and friends of the school to get involved. We need your help to continue to provide those 'extra's that really help our children grow and reach their full potential.
